Kat Bond will introduce you to the fundamentals of how to improvise songs that sound as if they had been written in the various style of solo, duet and group numbers. Explore rhyming, melody and styles to emphasize character or theme. Learn choreography and movement during improvised songs. Learn WHEN and WHY to sing a song during an improvised piece. By the end of the course, students will be improvising well-constructed songs instantaneously!
Prerequisite: Bovine Level 3 (or equivalent) or instructor approval
Class Minimum: 8 Students | Class Maximum: 12 Students

Kat Bond has been performing, teaching and studying improv since 2003. She has performed with a wide variety of groups in both Denver and Chicago including The Deltones (iO Chicago's Music Improv show), Devil's Daughter, Dungeon Cave and The SansScript Players. She is a graduate of Second City's Conservatory and Second City's Music Improv Conservatory, iO Chicago and The Bovine Metropolis School of Improv.
